Topic: Mass defect plot; floor vs ceil

Hello,

A quick question what is the purpose of changing the nominal mass between floor and ceiling when looking at mass defect plots?

Specifically; the kendrick defect plots I plot using python have the same defect scale (0:-1) as mmass's when nominal mass is at floor, yet I would like the plot to have the same scale (0:1) as mmass defect plot when Ceil is selected.

The idea was that for some elements the mass defect is so strong that for the whole compound it can be greater than 0.5 (or -0.5). Therefore simple rounding would not work. I typically switch between all three methods to get some impression about the data.
